Independents active on Primary Day, May 18th.  Even though they can't vote!

PHILADELPHIA, PA- Independent Pennsylvanians (IP) will be conducting an educational awareness and petitioning campaign about the primaries on May 18th. Our goal is to educate voters at center city Philadelphia polling sites about Pennsylvania’s closed primary system.  Pennsylvania is one of a minority of states that still shuts out the fastest growing voting block – independents.

State Rep. Eugene DePasquale to introduce open primary legislation

HARRISBURG, June 4 – State Rep. Eugene DePasquale, D-York, announced today that he soon will introduce legislation that would allow all registered voters in Pennsylvania – even those not affiliated with a particular political party – to cast a vote in primary elections.
